Session was held on the topic of Allama Muhammad Iqbal's poetry collection “Payam-e-Mashriq’’ on 30th July 2024

In collaboration with Bazm-i-Iqbal and Fikr-i-Iqbal Forum, a session was held on the topic of Allama Muhammad Iqbal's poetry collection “Payam-e-Mashriq’’ on 30th July 2024 at Bazm Iqbal's office. Director Iqbal Academy Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui and Chairman Institution of Engineers Pakistan Engineer Masood Ali Khan were the guest speakers of the event.
The director of Bizm-e-Iqbal, Dr. Tahsin Faraqi, gave the opening remarks, in which he highlighted the academic, literary, historical importance and background of "Pyam-e-Mashriq" and said that in this book, Iqbal is seen the eminence of his intellectual art. It has been a hundred years since this covenant-making book "Pyam-e-Mashriq" was published.
Engineer Masood Ali Khan said that Iqbal breathed a new spirit of freedom in the hearts of the Muslims of subcontinent through his thoughts. In the light of Hadith, he emphasized on making Uswa-e Hasana a beacon for unity among Muslims and raising moral values in the society.
Dr. Abdul Raouf Rafiqui said in his address that Iqbal showed his academic and literary skills to awaken the Muslim Ummah from the idleness through Payam-e-Mashriq. In this poetry collection, Allama compared two civilizations. Allama gave a message to the youth by putting Islamic teachings in front. Iqbal raised the position of self in his speech. Iqbal's words breathed a new spirit in the Muslim Ummah. He said that those who accuse Iqbal of quoting the poems of kings and emperors should study the Payam-e-Mashriq.
On this occasion, a resolution was passed that the teaching of Persian in educational institutions should be initiated, and if the nation wants to implement the ideas of Iqbal and Jinnah, then in the primary, highest institutions of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force, junior to general and Kalam-i-Iqbal should be a part of the curriculum for everyone and it is necessary to make Kalam-i-Iqbal a part of the curriculum in government and semi-government institutions as well.
