The Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP), in collaboration with the Fikr-e-Iqbal Forum (FIF), organized a seminar titled "Self-Purification in the Perspective of Iqbal's Philosophy" on July 20, 2024. The session was presided over by Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, Director, Iqbal Academy Pakistan. The guest speakers included Chairman of IEP Engineer Masood Ali Khan, Renowned Iqbal Scholar Prof. Dr. Brig (R) Waheed Uz Zaman Tariq, Dr. Nadeem Ishaq Khan (PhD Scholar), and Engineer Abdul Waheed Khawaja. The event was moderated by the renowned scholar, teacher and humorist Dr. Ayesha Azeem.
In his speech, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui enlightened that Allama Iqbal, through his poetry, has urged Muslims to achieve self-purification and adorn themselves with the best qualities and morals. This, he emphasized, is essential for attaining the highest status of humanity; the "Ashraf-ul-Makhluqat" (the noblest of creations); and to become deserving of Allah's love, leading to success and honor in both this world and the hereafter.
Other speakers shared their views on self-purification in the light of Allama Iqbal's philosophy. At the end of the event, Engineer Masood Ali Khan, Chairman of IEP, presented souvenir to Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui. The seminar was attended by a large number of people from various walks of life.
