A special seminar was organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan under the title of "Islamic Nation's Status, Contemporaneously and Thoughts of Iqbal". The seminar was presided over by Director of Pakistan Studies, Punjab University, Dr. Naumana Kiran.The guest speaker was Dr. Saad Khan, President of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Institute of Culture, Tehran, Iran. The note of thanks was presented by the director Iqbal Academy, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui. Muhammad Ishaq hosted the seminar.
Dr. Saad Khan while speaking said that in the present era, the Islamic nation is suffering from various problems and the most important countries of the nation Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine, Iraq and Iran are facing serious crises. The main reason for this is that even in this dark period of decline, Muslims as a nation are not willing to do anything. If we look back at Allama Iqbal's thought, the center and axis of his thinking has been the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Dr. Naumana Kiran said that the most important problem of the present time is the oppression of the weak countries by the powerful nations of the world, which is not only manifested in military aggression but also in new methods of economic exploitation. The Muslim Ummah has fallen a century ago, all the Muslim states became the vassals and subjugators of foreigners. Even today, the way out of these multifaceted problems exists in the light of Iqbal. Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui thanked all the guests and said that the prominent countries of the Nation of Islam have been suffering from the problems for two decades. It can be called material war as well as ideological war. After the development of its various fields of life, the West has advanced in various fields of life to such an extent that it has the power to give its own meaning to all our reactions because the medium of our expression i.e. language belongs to it. And the centers of our politics and economy are also strengthened by it. Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui said that the promotion of Iqbal’s thought is very important to improve the future of the Muslim Ummah.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui presented honorary shields and academy publications to Dr. Naumana Kiran and Saad Khan.
