On the occasion of the 86th death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a special seminar titled "National Reconstruction in the Light of Iqbal's Thought" was organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan on Sunday 21st April 2024. The seminar was presided over by former senator and member of the Governing Body of Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Mr. Waleed Iqbal. The special guest was well-known writer and intellectual Dr. Atiya Syed. Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiuqi presented the note of thanks. Among the guest speakers were Dr. Absar Ahmed (former Head of Department of Philosophy, University of Punjab), Dr. Zahid Munir Amir (Director of Urdu Development and Translation Centre), Dr. Fakhrul-Haq-Noori (Dean, Faculty of Languages, Minhaj University), Dr. Fatima Fayaz (Department of Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies, Lahore University of Management Sciences) and Rana Ijaz Hussain (President Pakistan Kuwait Friendship Association).
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran was recited by Dr. Hasan Raza Iqbali, while the Kalam-e-Iqbal read by Syed Safdar Hussain Kazmi. Mr. Faisal Farooq, the musician, performed "Khudi Ka Sirr-e-Nehan" on flute and famous singer Natasha Baig sang Allama's famous Kalam “Shikwah, Jawab-e-Shikwah”.Mr. Zaid Hussain hosted the event.
